How to Save Children From Diseases ?

It is always difficult for parents to adjudge what was the reason and when their little baby felt ill ! Infant can't tell his problem, therefore, it is very important for the parents to know the exact reason of their ailments and basic knowledge to cure them. It is the parents who are close to infants and who can detect the symptoms of disease. The parents should have capability to realize the situation and consult the child specialist without hesitation and delay. Some common disease infants and babies commonly suffer are given hereunder with ways to deal them efficiently.

COMMON COLD or INFLUENZA: Common Cold is most common disease faced by babies which could be detected by the running nose and throat itch caused due to a virus upon which antibiotics have no effect. Thus until defence-mechanism of the body become capable to fight it with of its own, no medicine can work out.

What to do?

The most problematic situation faced by infants during common cold is the nostril blockage because it become difficult for them to breath while sleeping and feeding milk. So, ask your doctor to suggest for it.

DIARRHEA (Loose Motion): Over and again liquid-form and discolored stool by baby is the sign of Diarrhea. If there are signs of vomiting, fever or no interest in food, it means water in body is very low it could prove futile.

What to do?

Immediately consult the Child Specialist. In the meanwhile protect child from dehydration or low water level in body. For the purpose, boil water and cool it. Add one finger-tip each of salt and sugar. Stir it and give to baby. It will help the child to keep away dehydration.

COUGH: Through coughing, child or baby try to keep away itching or anxiety prevailing in throat. Cough could be dry or mucus.

What to do?

Keep the doctor's prescribed anti-tussive, decongestant, dry cough medicine (tablets or syrup) at home for dry cough at home. But cough with mucus can't be ignored or pressed as it is very necessary to throw out the mucus existing in lungs of the baby to clear the chest. Take the expectorant medicine as prescribed by child specialist as it will enable child to throw out the mucus and make the chest hassle-free.

FEVER or TEMPRATURE: 98-99degree Fahrenheit is normal but after an extent such as 103-105 Fahrenheit it could prove dangerous for life.

What to do?

Take the medicine prescribed by child specialist. At home the easiest and most common method to reduce fever is to swap wet sponge or piece of cloth over the body of baby or infant. For the purpose, keep your baby over a water-proof bed sheet. Then dip the sponge or silky cloth (flannel)into normal water and squeeze it. Then rub it all over the body of baby including but not limited to face, hands and legs. take note of temperature after every 10 minutes. When it comes down to 101-102 Fahrenheit, stop sponging. Use Luke-warm water for sponging during winter. scrub the body of baby or infant after sponging. The process can be repeated if the temperature or fever increases again.
