Nokia as always has produced some of the world's finest products and there is no doubt in that, but we always had to compromise with the cost of the phone, but because of the recent developments in the mobile markets and due to the heavy competition, Nokia has started producing low budget phones with same quality. One among such product is Nokia 2700 Classic.
This review is from my personal experience, I have been using this phone since october 2009, and haven't faced any serious problems till now, let it be any hardware or software problem. The main reason for what I bought this phone was its price, it comes at an amazing Rs.4100, with almost the same feature as Nokia 5130 XpressMusic or the Nokia 7210 Supernova which are priced slightly higher that this phone.
The features of Nokia 2700 classic phone are:::
A Excellent 2 Mega Pixel Camera with Video Recording at 15fps and automatic mode adjustment.
A Music player that supports music formats like .mp3, .wma, .wav and .midi and a 3.5mm port.
A Built in Nokia Maps that gives the map based on the postal code with features like nearest restaurants, hospitals etc. GPRS charges apply.
Internet support with opera mini browser and has GPRS as well as EDGE.
Bluetooth 2.0 with file transfer.
External Memory slot with 1GB memory card and built in memory of 50MB.
FM with RDS stereo and 10 preset stations.
Speaker phone with good sound output.
Built in games like 3D Rally, 3D Snake and Sudoku, supports down loadable Java Games and flash.
Battery BL-5C with 2-3 days life with normal usage like messaging, calls etc and about 1.5-2 days with excessive usage of camera and music player.
Micro USB port for PC synchronization.
All other normal features like SMS, MMS, IM, etc available.
The OS of this Nokia 2700 classic phone is different from other Nokia High end phones, its quite simple but looks great and loads fast. The music player is quite good and the sound quality is very good if heard on ear phones.
Some of the Disadvantages of Nokia 2700 Classic phone are:::
Keypad is quite slippery.
Some times the light of the screen doesn't go off in stand by and has to restart phone, but happens once in a month or so.
The digital clock font size on the screen in stand by is very big, you cannot make it small although you can disable it.
Overall its a good phone and I suggest it to all who have constraint on their budget and need all the above features.
